LESBIAN/Bisexual Rant (rochester) 27yr
I love how the lesbian community, the very same women who demand equal rights to marry other women and are proud of themselves as lesbians…these same women, it seems, most of them judge women for being bisexual. Its pretty ridiculous. How can you demand equal rights and acceptance when you won’t even accept a bisexual woman without thinking she needs to “make up her mind” or that she just wants “threesomes” or she’ll “leave you for a man’. Aren’t those stereotypes? The same sort of stereotyping you are urging others not to make about YOU and YOUR lifestyle? Give me a break! You want equality, you want justice..it starts with YOU and the way you treat others. I’m bisexual. I am attracted to BOTH sexes. I HAVE made up my mind. I don’t have to “choose a side” or pick one gender or the other. THIS IS WHO I AM. Just as you are who YOU are. You want me to value you and you want others to see you as a whole person..stop treating others like they don’t know who they are if they are attracted to both sexes. i’m NOT confused. And I’m not in it just for the sex. I have dated men and women. I think if you’re on this msg board looking solely for a 3some, yes..you should move to a different board. If you are a bisexual woman looking for a date or a LTR or WHATEVER…you can post here. Bisexuals are often shunned from the straight AND gay community. How eff’d up is that?! GAY RIGHTS are about people accepting others who are not completely straight (if there is such a thing). What some of the close-minded lesbians don’t understand is that they are creating the very environment they are trying so hard to fight out of. Accept all people for who they are. If you don’t want someone to judge you…stop judging others and GROW UP.
